Shane Crawford on Lee Freedman:
"Lee's record speaks for itself and to have a horse associated with his stable, is awesome. I've found Lee to be very approachable, enthusiastic and generous with his time and expertise. His unique qualities make him a great match for Shane Crawford Racing and we are very excited about having him involved".

Lee Freedman

Lee Freedman was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2003 for his success and service to the industry. This accolade alone speaks to the quality of the trainer for our colt. Most recently, the Freedman Brothers have trained Maykbe Diva and Mummify and with past stars such as Super Impose, Doriemus and Danzero, this success places the stable at the forefront of Australia's most successful training establishments.

Since Lee Freedman trained Sitting Bull to be his first winner in 1983, a success story has evolved, quite unique in Australia Racing history. Lee has now achieved an amazing 110 Group One wins, including five Melbourne Cups, four Caulfield Cups, four Golden Slippers in succession, eight Derbys, eleven Oaks, five Lightning Stakes. Along the way, Lee has also trained over 300 stakes winners.

This followed the achievement of 100 Group One wins by October 9, 2004, when Mummify won the Yalumba Stakes. Reaching the milestone made Lee Freedman only the third trainer in Australian horse racing history to reach the 100 mark, placing him alongside the legendary TJ Smith and Bart Cummings.

With some 300+ stakes winners, 110 Group One winners and four Victorian training titles, Lee Freedman has become one of the racing industry's most successful trainers. However, it is not just training premierships that Lee strives for, it is Group race success - and when it comes to big race success, Lee Freedman is the undisputed leader.
